Chocolate is truly a gift from the Gods. Making your own is the ultimate bliss. You can adjust the flavors and textures to what suits your mood, and control the ingredients for what reflects your own dietary requirements. There is no guilt in this pleasure when you make it yourself. Chocolate has strayed so far from what it is and should be– because of fillers and soy and processed junk it’s gotten a bad rap for being unhealthy. But, my sweet lovelies, chocolate– raw cacao that is– is a superfood! It elevates your spirits, raises your endorphins, lowers stress hormones, contains proteins and fiber, a plethora of nutrients, and has antioxidant properties. You don’t have to buy cheap, toxic knockoffs or expensive fancy chocolate that will make you go broke. With Vivapura ingredients, you can make it yourself in your own home using tools you surely already have! (If you don’t have molds, you can use a springform pan, and make chocolate disks!)

Start off with
- Roughly 1 cup of cacao butter, chopped down very fine
- Roughly 2 cups cacao paste, chopped down very fine
Melt these down using the gentle heat of a double boiler, or if you don’t have one, a pyrex glass measuring cup set in warm water works fine. Let this melt down completely until it is smooth and there are no lumps

Remove this from the heat and then mix in
- 1 cup melted coconut creme (this will give the chocolate more of a creamy milk chocolate experience, but it will still be dark)
- 1/4 tspn vanilla
- 1/2 tspn salt (plus more to taste if you like)
- 1 1/2 tbspn curry powder (or more to taste)
- 1/3 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup coconut nectar

Whisk these ingredients very well, I recommend using a wooden spoon instead of metal or plastic because I feel like it has better energy, and I’m convinced I can taste metal when I use metal instruments in this process. Once combined, taste and adjust spices and sugar if you feel it needs it, and then pour into your chocolate molds. Once your chocolate is poured into the molds, you can add your
- Coconut flakes
- Walnuts

Then simply set these in your fridge or freezer to cool and viola! In about an hour, you will have your very own home made raw chocolate. It’s spicy, it’s unique, wholesome, and satisfies cravings for salty and sweet all at once. You’re going to absolutely love it.
Note: these need to be kept refrigerated– no shelf stabilizers or preservatives here!
